Review: Biore Micellar Cleansing Water

Another interesting product was sent my way!! Can't be thankful enough ^^

Biore Micellar Cleansing Water

This will not sound unfamiliar to you if you frequent Watsons/Guardian. I myself have tried a few brands of cleansing water and I'm going to put Biore's to a test!

I wasn't wearing heavy makeup. (are you distracted by my banana tee??? hehe)

USAGE

• Pump an appropriate amount onto a cotton pad
• Use soaked cotton pad to gently wipe of makeup
• No rinsing required
• For eye makeup, place soaked cotton pad onto closed eyes and hold for 5 seconds before gently wiping it of
• Repeat until all makeup is removed, and cotton pad is clean

This is how I look like after using up that 2 cotton pads~ I was wearing a waterproof mascara then, so it was rather difficult for me to remove all my make up at once. I had to use a few more cotton pad to get rid of em mascara~

TADAH~ mascara all gone! and yes, thumbs up for Biore's Cleansing Water! I used to love this certain's brand cleansing water but my face becomes red after every usage. There was no itch, no pain, but I was worried it might break me out so I threw it away and I'm happy to say that Biore's Cleansing Water does not cause me any redness!! All hail Biore!

Review: NIVEA Body Intensive Moisture Serum

I am lazy.

The last thing I would wanna do is to spend another 5 minutes slapping cream onto my body, even though I know how important it is to keep your skin moisturized at all times. I've been through so many kinds of moisturizer/lotion for body and I always end up throwing half the product away -- because I was too lazy to commit, but most of them are just too sticky.

Now that my air-conditioner failed me since 2 years ago, I've also stopped applying the VS body lotion I had. I loved the smell, but it was too heavy for me. There was once I had to wash the lotion off because it was making me feel sticky, so I stopped using body lotion -- until NIVEA's serum was sent to me.

It turned out exactly how I wanted it to be. I loved their in-shower conditioner's texture and I was secretly hoping their serum will be somewhat the same. Guess what, my prayers were answered!!

Review: Bio-essence Hydra Tri-Action Aqua Droplet Sleeping Beauty Mask

I've been on the hunt for good moisturizer because my current one is finishing and it's too expensive for my pocket (because I'm no longer working). It's from Missha and it costs about $60 and I do not want to spend so much on a moisturizer so I've been looking for an alternative ever since it was left with 1/4 of it's content...

I'm very picky when it comes to skincare. I cannot stand moisturizer which has a thick finish and I'll go for gel moisturizer over cream ones ANYTIME. I hate the sticky finish some moisturizer will leave me with! Then I had my eyes laid on Bio-essence's Hydra Tri-Action's sleeping mask and was waiting for my birthday month to purchase it. (5x bonus point okay, mai siao siao)

There was one Watson's sales recently and most of their items were on offer, so being the typical Singaporean, I went in to take a look. (P.S. these kinda sales will always make you buy things you do not need, so the further you can stay away from it -- the better) I saw Bio-essence's products were on mad offer but it was only worth it if I bought 2 so I decided not to purchase it this time round.

Used a spatula and took some of it contents onto the back of my hand!

After spreading them out, you can see the water droplets forming (inside the orange circle) and gosh I love the feeling of this moisturizer. It feels thicker than your normal gel moisturizer but it leaves your skin smooth and no, it does not leave your skin sticky afterwards. Favourite. Imma boycott all brands of moisturizer, I'm serious.

And of all moisturizers I've seen or used, it's always 50g and Bio-essence's is 80g. Wow. Just wow. This can last me probably 2.5 months!? You can even use this as an overnight mask -- just apply a thicker layer and wait for it to be absorbed before you head to bed! It also has a pleasant smell and I guarantee you to be able to sleep really well hehe. This is a must have for girls who have combination/oily skin!!

Captured the back of my hand without/with flash. I only applied to half of my hand and you can see the difference very clearly! Look how moisturized the right side of hand looks!

With SPF20, you can even skip your sunscreen if you're lazy! I'll still advice you to apply it everyday because prevention is better than cure!

[AD] Netrogena Brightening Cleanser

I was so excited when I received an e-mail from Sample Store and the product that I get to review is one of my favourite brand -- Netrogena!

Neutrogena is to launch their new Deep Clean products this week and I'm going to be the first few to try them out!!! ^.^

Received the Brightening and Hydrating Foaming Cleansers and I decided to give the Brightening Foam a try -- I've some blemish (I've no idea where it came from) on the right side of my cheek and I've been using brightening spot treatments on it and it's getting so much better and with this highly raved product, I'm really excited to see the outcome.

Neutrogena's Deep Clean products are well known for its' deep penetration into the skin to remove the impurities that might have been collected at the end of the day. It also leaves your skin brighter. Neutrogena also has 60 years of experience in skin care and it is also well recommended by dermatologists.

I personally, do not own any brightening cleanser. Squeeze about 1cm of the foaming wash onto your palm and lather. 

I can’t believe how much bubbles were formed with just 1cm of the cleanser! Spread it all over your face and wash thoroughly. Wipe off excess water with a face towel.

I like how well it cleanses my face. My definition of well = the sqaueaky feeling it leaves after I towel dry and the sweet smell that lingers on my face. Now that my skin is more obedient than before, I've been continuing with the same cleanser!

Review: Majolica Majorca Lash King and Perfect Automatic Liner #36

I've finally found myself the mascara that does what it promises. Not to mention, this Sweet Trap series is limited ed (except the mascara) so go grab yours now at any Watsons outlets!

Majolica Majorca Lash King & Perfect Automatic Liner #36

Look at the massive amount of fibres at the tip of the brush! These fibres helps to lengthen your natural lashes (look at picture below)

My lashes are so much longer and curled after the second application. What I like about Lash King is that it finishes off very thin. I don't know if you understand -- Some mascaras tend to thicken (too much) after the second application and makes it very hard to remove at the end of the day. Notice that my lashes are clump-free. I can't help but me amazed by it. Normally my lashes will clump after the second application of any other mascara but ... Thumbs up for Lash King!!

Even after I wore it for the whole day (6am-7pm), no smudge was observed and it held my lashes pretty well! Removal was not a pain in the ass (finally).

A dial-type felt pen liquid eyeliner that makes it easy to draw thin or thick eye lines. It is also resistant to perspiration, skin oils, and tears.

As seen from the swatch above, it is a sweet pearly pink colour which can be used to draw on your waterline or inner corners of your eyes to give you a "bigger eye" effect! Fret not, it is waterproof so you need not worry that it'll leave you nasty trails of pink under your eyes!!

Review: Curél Sebum Care

Having oily T-zone by mid day when you apply make up?

Been trying other brands of oil controlling skincare but to no avail??

We girls hate having oily skin -- especially when we are going to be taking a group photo and you realised only after the picture has been taken that your face is oily (but you're too paiseh to request for another take).

I always have to blot the excess oil on my T-zone every once in awhile and when I've to be out under the sun, it is NO JOKE.

Application of lotion is important as it helps to tighten your pores and keeps your face hydated!

** Lotion takes slightly more time to absorb. In order to aid absorption, pat clean hand on face repeatedly.

Next up, moisturizer!

It is a liquid based gel that spreads easily for speedy absorption into deeper layers of skin without leaving skin sticky.

Every day after usage, skin will be kept in matt condition for 8 hours. In 4 weeks, skin sensitivity and excess sebum will be under control.

After trying out this series for nearly 2 weeks, my skin condition has improved drastically. There was no need to carry my blotting paper with me whenever I go! The products are also fragrance-free, so you do not have to be overly concerned of ingredients inside them!

What do I like about this product?

It's a time saver.

I have so many different types of body lotion (ranging from Vaseline to VS) and never once, I managed to finish using them. Most of the time, I'm just too lazy to apply them so I'll just apply my skincare and go to bed. Hence, it'll either end up in the trash (expired) or I'll just leave it in my mum's room for her to finish using it. 

With the In-Shower Skin conditioner, I can no longer find excuses to not pamper my skin everyday!! It is not sticky and it smells really good! Now I can leave the showers feeling refreshed and also knowing that my skin is hydrated!
